🧴Olive Young Korea answer

I opened the box but never used it. Can I still return it to Olive Young?

SHORT ANSWER

Usually not. Olive Young's FAQ says that once the case has been opened, even without use, the item cannot be resold, so exchanges and refunds are difficult. Defects and skin reactions follow separate routes.

01

What to do now

  1. Use testers in the store before buying, so you do not need to open the box.
  2. If the product inside looks wrong, photograph it and contact Olive Young about a defect.
  3. If you had a skin reaction, keep the remaining product and take it with the receipt to the store of purchase.
02

Who owns the resolution

The store decides based on whether the item can be resold. Defect claims are checked after a request through the Korean site’s “1:1 문의” form.

03

Evidence to prepare

  • Receipt
  • The product and its case
  • Photos of any defect

Why this policy exists

Olive Young's official store FAQ (checked October 9, 2026) answers this directly: opening the case, or damaging or losing it, means the item cannot be resold, so exchanges and refunds are difficult. Returns are limited to items in normal condition.

Two other routes exist:

· Defects: submit a customer-support request through the Korean site’s “1:1 문의” form, attaching photos and a description of the defect.

· Skin reactions: if you followed the product instructions and still had a reaction, take the product and receipt to the store where you bought it. Staff check how much is left and the symptoms, then explain what they can do. The FAQ does not promise a refund.

OLIVE YOUNG Global, the international online store, separately says it does not refund for allergic reactions or skin conditions.
