- Amazon Prime FTC Refund 2026: Who Gets Up to $200?US Prime customers who signed up through a challenged enrollment flow, or tried to cancel online and could not, between June 23, 2019 and June 23, 2025, and who used no more than 20 Prime benefits in any 12-month period after enrolling. Refunds cover Prime fees up to $200 per customer; earlier payments were capped at $51, so Amazon may send up to $149 more.
- Do I need to file a claim to get the Amazon Prime refund? No. The FTC page says no action is needed: you do not have to file a claim, respond to a notice, or fill out forms. Eligible customers are paid automatically by check, PayPal or Venmo through April 2027. The one thing you must do is accept or cash the payment within 60 days of the issue date.
- I canceled Amazon Prime years ago. Can I still get money back?Possibly, if the cancellation attempt or sign-up falls inside the program: the FTC covers customers who tried to cancel online and could not, or signed up through a challenged flow, between June 23, 2019 and June 23, 2025, and who used 20 or fewer Prime benefits in any 12-month period. Having canceled already does not by itself rule you out or in.
- Someone says they can get my Amazon Prime refund for a fee. Is it a scam?Treat it as a scam. The FTC says it is not contacting people about refunds in the Amazon matter, and Amazon will never ask for money to process a refund. The refunds are automatic and free. Do not pay a fee or share personal or payment information with anyone who contacts you about it.
