How we source data
Every product page here shows two separate signals: how popular a product actually is inside Korea, and how much buzz it has internationally. We built it this way because we couldn't find another site that shows both side by side — most either rank Korean products for a Korean audience, or analyze ingredients with no popularity signal at all.
What we will not do
- We will not publish an invented "popularity score" or "buzz score." If we don't have a real, citable number, the page says "data unavailable."
- We will not copy another site's proprietary rankings, reviews, or scores.
- We will not write fake reviews or simulate AI recommendations that aren't grounded in the data on this site.
Korean popularity signals
Sourced from public, citable data: Olive Young's published bestseller rankings and annual Awards (based on disclosed purchase-data analysis), and Glowpick's public crowd-review rankings. Each signal on a product page links directly to where we found it, with the date we observed it.
Global buzz signals
Sourced from public retailer review counts (Amazon, YesStyle, Stylevana), Google Trends, and mention frequency on public communities like r/AsianBeauty. There is currently no free, reliable way to measure TikTok reach at scale, so we don't claim one — we'd rather show fewer, honest signals than a fabricated composite number.
Confidence levels
Every signal is labeled High, Medium, Low, or Data unavailable confidence, based on how direct and current the underlying source is. We are actively expanding coverage — if a product you're looking for isn't listed yet, that means we haven't verified real data for it, not that it doesn't exist.
